At Soundarya, we know what it means to live in harmony with the environment that provides us with the raw material that makes everything we do possible.
From replanting to better sewage management, thoughtful construction, and beyond, here are a few of our sustainability initiatives.
Much like our belief in our work, we also know that our commitment to sustainability is only going to grow with time.
Over 20% of the wood we derive from the natural world is put back where it belongs, though our replanting initiative. In the years to come, we hope to increase this number even further.
Our workshop and office spaces are both designed bearing in mind our proximity to the seashore- wind, rain, or sunshine, we always have ample access to ventilation and a gentle breeze that reminds one of the sea.
We are currently working with experts to treat more of our sewage and effluents before they are routed to the nearest water body. Unlike traditional methods that result in a lot of wastage, the process we are exploring will allow us to treat more water with lesser impact, and set the standard for what is possible for sewage management.
The vegetable patch at our factory is a labour of love in many ways. What we grow isn’t only consumed by humans, but also by the other fauna that call the nearby spaces home.
